Hasler Cave - Our Special Landmark

The Erdmann Cave at Hasel is one of the oldest dripstone caves in Germany. The total length which has been measured amounts to 2185 metres, the section accessible to the public is 360 metres in length. Giant dripstones emphasise the fairy-tale fascination of the cave. One of them is Germany's biggest and oldest dripstone, more than four metres in height and over two metres thick at the foot. It is estimated as being more than one million years old.

The cave owes its name to the Earthman and Earthwoman who lived here at one time according to legend.
